A yummy KL breakfast - Hai'amaso Galabo

7 hours into fatigue induced slumber, I was rudely awaken by loud staccato snorting. It was really irritating until I realized that my mouth was dry, my throat parched, my pillow sodden with drool, and it was me.

For foodies looking for a new culinary adventure, do as I and start your day with a unique Malaysian breakfast specialty - a delicious, hot, savory and soupy Japanese-influenced concoction called Hai'amaso Galabo.

... chewy yellow noodles, bathed in a clear seafood broth, laden with vine ripened cherry tomatoes and chopped scallions (added to the boiling broth just before serving) and garnished with roasted Indonesian salted peanuts (skin on), roasted chopped garlic, hand torn nori, and a generous amount of shaved bonito! Check it out:
  "Hai'amaso Galabo"
To pronounce this dish properly when ordering at your favorite Malaysian restaurant, break it down into four phonic sections that sound like:
1) "high am"
2) "sew"
3) "gull"
4) "a bull"
Stress the first section, then quickly and smoothly in sequence say the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th sections. Practice by repeating quickly at least 10 times in a row in order to master the cadence and intonation and you'll be sure to impress your guests and server when you order this specialty.
