Mission Impossible

...Really excited when the alarm woke me and Mrs. Mundain at 4:45 am...but right away  I knew something was not right as I raced to the toilet.

The ice cubes from last night...were made from local tap water! I was in no condition to accompany Mrs. Mundain and the His Child mission team since there were no toilet facilities in the converted ministry bus. I couldn't even hold it for 10 minutes much less the 10 hours we were scheduled to volunteer...mission aborted!

The next 10 hours were among the worst of my life as I spent most of that time doubled over in pain or evacuating on the throne in sweltering 100 degree heat, 99% humidity without air conditioning.

As if that was not bad enough, during this heat wave Phnom Penh implemented water rationing; use your imagination to visualize what it's like to have no running water for the entire day while  suffering from diarrhea...I'ma gonna die right here, ah!
